Operation Applejack

'Applejack' was an Allied unrealised naval undertaking to repeat 'Leader' with further attacks by the aircraft of the US light fleet carrier Ranger against German shipping in the Stavfjord and the port of Stadlandet on the western coast of German-occupied Norway (November 1943).

'Applejack' was cancelled as a result of the weight of the other commitments of the US warships serving at this time as Task Force 121 with Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser’s Home Fleet.
