Operation AR

'AR' was a British and Soviet naval sweep to locate and destroy German coastal shipping between Nordkyn and Vardø in German-occupied northern Norway (24/25 November 1941).

The British light cruiser Kenya, British destroyers Bedouin and Intrepid, and Soviet destroyers Gremyashchiy and Gromkiy departed Murmansk, and returned on 25 November after locating no ship targets but undertaking a gunfire bombardment of Vardø.
