'Arrest' was an Allied special forces operation to parachute an Australian, British, Chinese and Dutch RAPWI (Recovery of Allied Prisoners of War and Internees) party of the Special Operations Executive’s Force 136 into Japanese-occupied Java to arrange the Japanese surrender and secure the safety of Allied prisoners of war on the island (August 1945).
