Operation Coronel II

(naval battle off the coast of Chile in World War I)

'Coronel II' was a U-boat wolfpack operation in the North Atlantic (8/17 December 1943).

The wolfpack comprised U-92, U-107, U-302, U-311, U-390, U-415, U-421, U-541, U-543, U-544, U-618, U-625, U-629, U-645, U-653, U-667, U-672, U-734, U-761, U-801 and U-962, and for the loss of Oberleutnant Otto Ferro’s U-645, for no known reason, sank no ship.
