Operation Cramlington

'Cramlington' was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive to establish reception party for 'Waxwing' as a base on neutral Swedish soil against targets in German-occupied Norway (February/May 1945).

At the end of January 1945 it had been decided that H. Ryan, Corporal Y. Øgaard, 2nd Lieutenant J. Kvarme and 2nd Lieutenant H. Hansen) would reach the reception area overland from neutral Sweden, and after problems with the Swedish authorities on the border it was the end of February before the party crossed into Norway, where it remained to the end of the war.
