Operation DC (i)

'DC' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical and sometimes a literal suffix) plying between Durban and Port Elizabeth or Cape Town, South Africa, and as such reciprocals of the 'CD' series (December 1942/September 1943).

The first of the series was DC.1 with five merchant vessels, and the last was DC.57A of 30 August/1 September 1944 with the 1,870-ton British Foreland.
