Operation DL

'DL' was a British naval sweep along the coast of German-occupied Norway in search of supply convoys for interception and destruction (19/21 November 1940).

The ships involved were the destroyers Cossack, Eskimo and Maori, which departed Scape Flow in the Orkney islands group for the Stadlandet area of Norway. The destroyers spotted only one fishing vessel, and this could not be boarded because of the severity of the weather.
