Operation Dutch Cleanser

'Dutch Cleanser' was an Allied unrealised plan for General H. D. G. Crerar’s Canadian 1st Army to advance from Arnhem to the IJsselmeer (Zuiderzee) in the Netherlands (17 April 1945).

The plan was cancelled to protect the local Dutch civilian population, as it was feared that the Germans would flood the area as part of their defensive scheme had the operation been launched.
