'Emily' (ii) was a British special forces operation by a Special Air Service party to sabotage German lines of communication targets in the south-western part of the Aurillac region of German-occupied France, and thereby make it more difficult for the Germans to move men and weapons toward the Allied 'Overlord' lodgement in Normandy (8 June 1944).
