Operation Ephedrine

'Ephedrine' was an Allied special forces operation to parachute a three-man French and US 'Jedburgh' team into the Savoie area of German-occupied France to aid the local resistance forces (13 August 1944 onward).

After being delivered from Blida in Algeria, the team worked with the 'Chloroform', 'Novocaine' and 'Sceptre' teams, and aided the local resistance forces to close a number of mountain passes and thereby prevent the escape of between 5,000 and 15,000 Germans troops to the east.
