Operation FG (ii)

'FG' (ii) was the designation of an Allied convoy (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route between Milne Bay, Papua, and Goodenough island of the neighbouring D’Entrecasteaux islands group (8 October 1943).

The convoy comprised two US 'Liberty' ships, namely the 7,176-ton B. F. Shaw and 7,191-ton George S. Boutwell, and as undertaken within the overall context of the 'Chronicle' operation.
