Operation FH (i)

'FH' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from St John, New Brunswick, to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and as such reciprocals of the 'HF' series (September 1942/May 1945).

The first of these 225 convoys was FH.1 of 18/20 September 1942 with the 2,089-ton British Fintra, 4,115-ton Norwegian Fjordheim, 6,696-ton Greek Mount Taurus, 2,904-ton Yugoslav Neti and 1,583-ton British Portsea, and the last was FH.179 of 23/24 May 1945 with the 5,397-ton British Duke of Sparta, 4,000-ton Norwegian Hardanger, 7,130-ton British Riverview Park and 2,060-ton British Sarnolite.
