Operation Float

'Float' was an Allied plan conceived and controlled by the British Special Operations Executive and the US Office of Strategic Services to co-ordinate the French resistance forces in the south of German-occupied France the better to hamper the movement of all the German forces within 200 miles (320 km) of France’s south coast (1942/43).
