TG112.1 comprised the light fleet carrier Ranger, the heavy cruisers Augusta and Tuscaloosa, and the destroyers Bell, Corry, Forrest, Hobson and Isherwood, and was met off Cape Wrath by the British light anti-aircraft cruiser Phoebe before reaching Scapa Flow in the Orkney islands group for temporary service with Admiral Sir Bruce Fraser’s Home Fleet.
