'Gatter' was a German naval minelaying operation to the north-west of the island of Elba off the west coast of Italy by two ex-Italian torpedo boats of Korvettenkapitän Wirich von Gartzen’s 10^th Torpedoboots-Flottille (5/6 April 1944).
