'Geier' (iii) was a German unrealised plan for General Ehrenfried-Oskar Boege’s 18th Army of Generaloberst Ferdinand Schörner’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord' to break out of the army group’s near-pocket in Lithuania though General Hovhannes Kh. Bagramyan’s 1st Baltic Front and Marshal Sovetskogo Soyuza Konstantin K. Rokossovsky’s 3rd Belorussian Front and move along the Baltic coast to Memel in Lithuania (14/16 October 1944).
