'Glenanne' was a British deception plan, possibly not implemented, by the London Controlling Section to support 'Ironside II' by having the British ambassador in Madrid ask the Spanish foreign ministry whether or not the Spanish government knew anything about the German plan to cross the Franco-Spanish border and advance into north-eastern Spain, in addition emphasising the significance of the matter to the British (July 1944).
