Operation Hasenjagd (i)

'Hasenjagd' (i) was a German operation against partisans in the area of Dobruzh near Gomel in the German-occupied western USSR (6/15 February 1943).

This was yet another area in which partisans based in the impenetrable Pripyet marshes could sally force to strike at important German rear-area installations and communications, producing results out of all proportion to the numbers of men involved.
