Operation Hasty (i)

'Hasty' (i) was a US unrealised plan for a paratroop drop by elements of Major General Major General Matthew B. Ridgway’s 82nd Airborne Division at Trasacco, to the east of Rome, in an effort to draw off German reserves and thus facilitate the approach of Lieutenant General Mark W. Clark’s 5th Army to the Italian capital (1 June 1944).
