Operation JT (ii)

'JT' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to Trinidad, and as such reciprocals of the 'TJ' series and successors to the 'BT' convoys inaugurated in November 1942 (July 1943/March 1945).

The first of these 70 'Rio de Janeiro to Trinidad' convoys was JT.1 which reached Trinidad on 25 July 1943 with 33 merchant vessels, and the last was JT.70 which reached Trinidad in March 1945 with two merchant vessels.
