Operation KR (ii)

'KR' (ii) was the designation Allied convoys (together with a numerical and sometimes a literal suffix) plying the route from Calcutta, India, and Arakan ports, Burma, to Rangoon, Burma, and as such reciprocals of the 'RK' (ii) series (May 1945).

The first of this 'Calcutta to Rangoon' series was the KR.6 convoy of 24/26 May 1945 with the 11,080-ton British Dilwara and 9,213-ton British Nevasa, and the last was the KR.24 convoy of 31 July/3 August 1945 with the 9,213-ton British Nevasa and 10,683-ton British Staffordshire.
