Operation League

'League' was a Allied unrealised naval undertaking to repeat 'Leader' (ii) with further attacks by the US light fleet carrier Ranger's aircraft against shipping on the Leads off Bodø along the coast of German-occupied Norway (November 1943).

Schemed to exploit the availability of the carrier before her planned return to the USA, the operation was cancelled as a result of adverse weather and the commitment of the required British and US supporting forces to Arctic convoy operations.
