Operation Luchs-Stellung

The 'Luchs-Stellung' was a German defence position extending on an west/east axis between Nevel and Novosokolniki on the Eastern Front (late 1943).

The position was occupied on 8 December by General Martin Grase’s I Corps of General Christian Hansen’s 16th Army within Generalfeldmarschall Georg von Küchler’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord'.
