Operation MA (i)

'MA' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Kilindini, Kenya, to Aden (October/December 1941).

The first of the three such convoys was MA.1 of 5/12 October 1941 with the 10,048-ton British Ascanius, 7,071-ton British Manchester Port, 7,063-ton British Salween and 8,131-ton British Yoma, and the last was MA.3 of 8/15 December 1941 with the 7,821-ton British Burma, 8,390-ton British Derwentdale and 7,063-ton British Salween.
