Operation NG

'NG' was the designation of Allied convoys (with a numerical suffix) plying the route between New York and Guantánamo, Cuba, and as such reciprocals of the 'GN' series (August 1942/May 1945).

There were 207 such 'New York to Guantánamo' convoys between NG.300 of 27 August/3 September 1942 with 25 ships (nine British, two Dutch, one Norwegian, six Panamanian, one Soviet, one Swedish and five US) and NG.506 of 6/13 May 1945 with 55 ships (both naval and mercantile).

There was also the unnumbered NG.Spec convoy of 17/27 December 1942 with one Panamanian and two US merchant vessels.
