Ostrogoth movement

The 'Ostgoten-Bewegung' was a German undertaking, in accordance with an order of Adolf Hitler, to despatch men combed out of home defence units to reinforce front-line units on the Eastern Front (26 March/April 1945).

Within two days the undertaking had identified, located and organised the movement of some 96,000 men to the front.
