This was the German codeword to signal the imminent launch of operations within ‘Weiss’ (i) by General Albert Kesselring’s Luftflotte I in support of Generaloberst Fedor von Bock’s Heeresgruppe ‘Nord’, and General Alexander Löhr’s Luftflotte IV in support of Generaloberst Gerd von Rundstedt’s Heeresgruppe ‘Süd’ (25 August/1 September 1939).
