Operation PH (i)

'PH' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Piraeus, Greece, to ports on the heel of Italy, and as such reciprocals of the 'HP' series (November 1944/February 1945).

The first convoy of this 'Piraeus to Heel' series was PH.1 of 1/3 November 1944 with the 7,219-ton British Samdaring, and the last was PH.8 of 31 January/3 February 1945 with the 7,210-ton British Samcolne, 7,210-ton British Samleven and 5,842-ton French Var.
