'Plan IV' was a British deception by the Twenty (XX or Double Cross) Committee in which several false air raid damage reports were passed to the Germany, via the Spanish embassy in London, with the object of inducing the German to concentrate their bombing on air bases, which were well defended, rather than poorly defended urban areas (1941).
