Operation QO

'QO' was a British naval mineclearing operation in British coastal waters (October 1942).

Undertaken by the 9th Minesweeping Flotilla (Bangor, Blackpool, Bridlington, Bridport, Peterhead, Sidmouth, Tenby and Rhyl), the operation was designed to clear a passage through the British East Coast Barrier for the safe passage of destroyers entering or departing Harwich.
