Operation Regatta (ii)

'Regatta' (ii) was a German operation against partisans in the region to the south of Gorky in Belorussia, south-west of Smolensk in the German-occupied western USSR (3/8 October 1942).

The area was fundamental to the rear-area security of Generalfeldmarschall Günther von Kluge’s Heeresgruppe 'Mitte'.
