Operation RK (ii)

'RK' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical and sometimes a literal suffix) plying the route from Rangoon, Burma, to Arakan, Burma, and Calcutta, India, and as such reciprocals of the 'KR' (ii) series (May/August 1945).

The first of these 48 convoys was RK.1 of 22/25 May with the 8,478-ton British Rajula and 7,063-ton British Salween, and the last was RK.17A of 1/3 August with the 5,108-ton British Egra escorted by the Indian minesweeper Sind.
