'Schnapps' was a British operation to deliver a token force (one company of paratroopers) and Major General R. H. Dewing, head of the Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Forces' mission to Denmark, in 12 Douglas Dakota transport aircraft to Copenhagen after the surrender of the German forces in northern Europe (5 May 1945).
