Operation Ventilate (ii)

'Ventilate' (ii) was a British unrealised plan to exploit the successful outcome of 'Grenade' and 'Veritable' by launching Lieutenant General Sir Miles Dempsey’s British 2nd Army of Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery’s Anglo-Canadian 21st Army Group into the area between the Maas and Rhine rivers (spring 1945).

The plan was not executed for lack of the resources which would have been required in addition to the originally selected formation, namely Major General A. Galloway’s 3rd Division.
