Operation Victor (ii)

'Victor' (ii) was the German codeword to trigger an extemporised defence designed to check any Allied advance into Italy, following the September 1943 defection of Italy from the Axis cause, after an amphibious assault on the north-west coast of the Adriatic Sea between Rimini and Venice (12 January 1944/April 1945).
