Operation Warschau

Warsaw

'Warschau' was a German programme to create very large assault gliders needed to transport the heavy equipment that would be required for the success of the revived and revised 'Seelöwe' (October 1940).

Within the overall 'Warschau' designation the two primary subdivisions were 'Warschau-Ost' and 'Warschau-Süd' (Warsaw East and Warsaw South) for the Junkers Ju 322 Mammut and Messerschmitt Me 321 Gigant respectively.
