'XW' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Alexandria, Egypt, to ports farther to the west along the coast of North Africa to supply the British forces fighting in the Western Desert, and as such reciprocals of the 'WX' series (1941/43).
