'Aloes' was an Allied special forces operation to parachute a 12-man team into the Bourbriac area of German-occupied north-western France in order to aid the consolidation of all the French resistance forces in the Brittany peninsula under a single commander with the benefit of an effective radio network (4 August 1944 onward).
The operation proved unnecessary as the French resistance forces in Brittany were already well co-ordinated.
