'BG' (i) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Brisbane to Gladstone, Australia (January 1943/July 1944).
The first of these convoys was BG.1 of 12/14 January 1943 with two 7,181-ton US merchant vessels, in the form of David Bushnell and Joseph Holt, escorted by the Australian minesweeper Geelong. The last was BG.123 of 24/26 July 1944 with eight merchant vessels and six escorts.
