'Cattle' (ii) was a British naval deception operation involving an obvious amphibious beach reconnaissance of the Birauen area of north-eastern Sumatra in an effort to persuade the Japanese that the Allies were considering an amphibious descent on the occupied Netherlands East Indies (April 1945).
