Operation Company

'Company' was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive against the transformers at Arendal Smelteverk at Eydehavn near Arendal in the southern part of German-occupied Norway, which produced 4,000 tons of ferro-silicon per year for transport to Germany (12/21 November 1943).

The three-man Norwegian party (E. Tallaksen, B. Rasmussen and A. Trønnes) was delivered by air, and on 21 November attacked the plant causing sufficient damage to halt production for six months, in the process depriving the Germans of 2,500 tons of ferro-silicon.
