'Emil' (i) was a German operation by Generalleutnant August Krakau’s 7^th Gebirgsdivision, supported by the SS Gebirgsartillerieregiment 'Nord', in the sector of Kiestinki (Kestenga in Russian) of the Karelian front of south-eastern Finland (8/24 August 1943).
