'Filz' was a German major patrol undertaking by the SS 7th Gebirgsjägerregiment of SS-Gruppenführer und Generalleutnant der Waffen-SS Lothar Debes’s 6th SS Gebirgsdivision 'Nord' to the south of the Nitsijärvi lake on the northern sector of the Finnish front (27 January 1943).
