'Fischzug' was the German undertaking to transport SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS Karl Herrmann’s SS Kampfgruppe 'Nord' from the Varanger peninsula in the Porsangerfjord region of German-occupied northern Norway in preparation for service against the Soviet forces in the southern part of Finnish Lapland (April 1941).
