'Knockholt' was a Yugoslav operation by the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito, with the support of British commando and Special Operations Executive elements, to establish a beach-head in German-occupied Yugoslavia between the Neretva river and Split on the Dalmatian coast of the Adriatic Sea (February 1944).
