'KS' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route southward from New York via Norfolk, Virginia, to Key West, Florida, and as such reciprocals of the 'KN' series (May/September 1942).
The first of these 36 'Key West South' convoys was KS.500 of 14/19 May with 19 merchant vessels and no escorts, and the last was KS.535 which departed New York on 10 September 1942 with just the 9,310-ton US Montana.
