Operation NL (i)

'NL' (i) was a British minelaying programme of 136 lays associated with 'Maple' (ii) and using coastal forces (motor launches and motor torpedo boats) of the Dover Command to lay small fields off locations such as Boulogne, Calais, Gravelines, Staples, Sangatte, West Hinder, Ostend, Blankenberg, Nieuport and Zeebrugge in an attempt to hinder German coastal traffic and deter the operations of German light coastal forces (7 June 1941/18 July 1944).
