Operation Plan Z (i)

'Plan Z' (i) was an Allied unrealised plan for the reconquest of the southern part of Japanese-occupied Burma (1943).

The plan could not be undertaken during 1943 for a variety of reasons, but was then developed into 'Dracula' (ii) for the seizure of Rangoon and southern Burma. The collapse of the Japanese defensive effort in the region then led to the recasting of this plan as 'Modified Dracula'.
