Operation Salamander V

'Salamander V' was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive to attack U-boats, depot ships and other vessels at Vingvågen near Trondheim in German-occupied Norway using 'sleeping beauty' motorised submersible canoes to approach the targets and attach limpet mines (13/30 September 1944).

The Norwegian party comprised T. Lien, A. Fløisand, L. Olsen and I. Tønseth, who left by fishing boat with two 'sleeping beauty' canoes on 13 September and returned on 30 September having achieved no success.
