Operation Schnee (i)

snow

'Schnee' (i) was a German three-part operation to transfer troop reinforcements, matériel and supplies to Norway (December 1942).

These undertakings were started on 9, 14 and 19 December respectively, and reflected Adolf Hitler’s long-term belief that Norway was a 'zone of destiny' which the British would surely invade in the longer if not the shorter term.
